Clarification

Now there are alot of beautiful pictures of beautiful woman on my blog so I thought it best to clear up any misunderstandings right from the start - I am not a lickidy. Not that I have anything against the gay sisterhood, some of the nicest people I know are gay and I love them dearly, I am just not one of them. I have an artists soul and am a Libran to boot and as such appreciate all things beautiful, so even though I have lots of girlie shots on my blog, I am not a lickedy. I felt the need to clarify this after an incident at Spotlight in Glenfield some years ago. I will explain.

I had bought a duvet cover from there, put it on my kingsized bed, slept in it for a night only to find it was actually more like a queen size, even though it said it was a king, evidence by the fact my arse was exposed to the cold and (thankfully) the dark for half the night, the other half I spent wrestling what I could of the duvet off my rather hulking husband who was not of a mind to give it up without a struggle...

So, my best friend was down from up north for the weekend. It is traditional for her and I to have breakfast in my bed and catch up on all the goss when she is staying and it was during this catch up that she too found the duvet to be smaller than it should be. So off we go to Spotlight, duvet and packaging in hand to return it. We explained how it was too small, when "we were in the bed it didn't cover both of us properly" blah blah blah and got a look that would reverse global warming (perhaps someone should look into that..?) from the sales woman, who was being most unhelpful and actually quite rude (horrid woman, doesn't she know I'm a PRINCESS!??) Anyhoo, I quickly gathered she had got the wrong end of the stick and was maybe not as fond of the gay sisterhood as she could be. So I came right out and said "I'm not a lickedy". She burst out laughing, was much more helpful after that and I went home with a duvet cover that actually covered more than the far right hand corner of my bed.
