My 40th birthday was actually in September last year, but for a number of reasons I decided at the time that it was the wrong time to celebrate such a momentus event. It had been a crap year, I was still in a crap place, I wanted the party to be how I had always envisaged it being and I didn't want my "stuff" overshadowing it in any way. It simply must be a happy event. I insist. I am a princess after all...
So I shifted the date to the 2nd of May 2009. This worked for me for a number of reasons, numerologically, practically and within 24 hours of the most important day in the pagan calendar, an essential element for any self respecting witch. With that in mind, the theme for the party is a Witches Ball. Not a fancy dress you understand, but a proper, GlamMoreUs ball, with a witchy theme.
The hunt has begun for "THE" dress. Time is running out and I am not getting any thinner, so the challenge is well and truely on. I thought something simple, nothing too fussy or expensive or over the top - and I think I've found something close...
Dunno, it might not be dramatic enough...might have to go back to the drawing board. I suspect the party is going to feature heavily in my blog, so no doubt will keep you posted as to progress in the future...
