I have spent much of this day creating my blog. Very cool fun at times, down right bloody frustrating at others...In the spirit of Bridget Jones, I have decided the blog will be used as much as an account of day to day events as it will be for art, creations and curios. A personal record of events to look back on and most likely cringe about later (there's always the delete button), a cleansing of the soul, a problem shared is a problem halved and all that stuff...assuming anyone other than me ever reads it...
So, news of the day - you will be riveted to hear my PMT is raging out of control today - spare a thought, or if you are religious, a prayer, for my poor bastard husband who has confessed that he is truely terrified. He's handling it well though and I am attempting to drown it with Monteiths Summer Ale, I'll let you know how I get on - if it works, it could become bigger than Evening Primrose Oil as the top reliever of PMT. Lets hope so, it certainly tastes better :-)
Then there was the knitting tragedy. There I was, lovingly putting together another creation when I noticed a dropped stitch on the end of a row. At that stage I'd already knitted another 4 rows - pity my powers of observation hadn't kicked in earlier - might be something to do with my new PMT cure...whatever the case, the "creations" now has what looks like a fecking skin tag on one end of it. This will certainly be a cushion with a difference...
My tomato plants are part triffod. My roses are settling in despite being planted in the middle of a blistering summer. We have a baby possum residing in our peach tree, he's now moved to the silky oak after several attempts to rehouse him away from our boisterous dogs...it's a long weekend, the sun is shining. It's my 11th wedding anniversary tomorrow and we are madly in love in spite of my raging PMT :-) I've had a lovely afternoon with my husband just chillin...all in all, life is damn good today.
Life is not so good tonight for one poor NZ family. Halatau Tau Naitoko was accidentally shot dead yesterday by Police while they were trying to apprehend an armed offender in the central city. Bloody bloody sad. RIP Halatau, my thoughts and sympathy are with your family tonight.
Kinda puts the PMT and the knitting tragedy into perspective doesn't it...
